Routine appointments can be booked at anytime for a future date by either calling us during our open hours or our 24/7 online services (through either the NHS app or SystemOnline).
At 8am we release urgent appointments for the day, these are for medically urgent needs where the patient needs to seen and assessed that day.
Please try to avoid calling at the opening time if it is none urgent and call later in the day so that patients needing to be seen that day can get through quickly.

Evening and weekend GP appointments are currently available for Leicester City patients.
If you are registered with a GP practice in Leicester City, you can now benefit from an appointment with a GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner or a Practice Nurse in the evenings and at weekends at one of four hubs in the city:

Merlyn Vaz Health & Social Care, 1 Spinney Road, Leicester LE5 2GH

This is not just for emergency care
This is for routine problems if you cannot make normal surgery hours
Clinicians at these sites are able to view your medical records and your consultation will be added to your medical records.
Temporary Services Due to COVID-19
Urgent care services in Leicester will only be available by appointment at the Merlyn Vaz Hub on Spinney Hill Road and at the Westcotes Health Hub on Fosse Road South.
In Leicestershire, urgent care services will be available through the Loughborough and Oadby care centres.
GP practices, pharmacies and NHS 111 online and telephone services will be available as normal.
A summary of the changes are outlined below. With immediate effect, the following locations only will be open for the provision of urgent care services:

The following services will be suspended: the hubs at Enderby, Melton Mowbray, Lutterworth, Oakham, Market Harborough, Coalville, Hinckley, Belgrave (Brandon Street) and Saffron Lane.
The changes are necessary to make the best use of clinical teams and other health staff by basing them at fewer locations during the coronavirus outbreak.
By doing this, the NHS can continue to provide services safely for patients and lower the risk of infection by reducing patient movement across services.
The changes are temporary, will be regularly reviewed and local people will be kept informed of developments.
